The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

@_zouhir @Netlify Will that not happen already?

/about (without a file extension) would suggest a directory and serve an index file if it exists in that directory. So:

/about/index.html should be returned if it is present in that folder.

Have you pushed such a structure to a site on Netlify?

@qubyte @Netlify I'd recommend pinging the Support team via http://app.netlify.com. That sounds like something that they'd be able to give good advice on.

"It’s plumbing. Efficient, frictionless plumbing that gets the job done and then gets out of the way. That may not sound glamorous, but to me, that’s the definition of a good tool"

– @tkadlec on @Netlify

I utterly ❤️ that comment!

@chrisdarroch Sadly this is indeed a limitation in the @Bitbucket API. They already have a ticket in their issue tracker discussing this, but it seems to be going a little stale. Do you need to keep your repo in Bitbucket? Both @github and @gitlab support that feature.

@ChrisFerdinandi @rem @digitalocean @Netlify I'm just delighted that the approach is making sense for you and yielding good results.

Personally, I can't remember a time when I my development workflow felt even remotely as productive or dependable. It's made development fun again.

And I'm convinced it can go further!

Nice to see another real-world example of using @gatsbyjs and @NetlifyCMS for a small business site, built with love by @peduarte on the #JAMstack and deployed to @Netlify.

Interesting write up:

@holtbt This is fascinating.

While not helpful, I really think *it depends* on the features you need for your demo.

I'd also offer slightly different groupings. While Netlify & Surge have similarly straightforward on-ramps, they have quite different features.
