The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

@parasight @jellea @middlemanapp @NetlifyCMS FWIW, there is a good collection fo SSGs at https://www.staticgen.com/

Personally, I think @jekyllrb is a great place to start with SSGs. Meanwhile I've fallen for the speed and power of @GoHugoIO and if you have any @reactjs chops, @gatsbyjs might suit you (it's 🔥 !)

Launch day should be a time for celebration, not a time for anxiety.

Looking forward to @render_conf where I'll be talking about ways to avoid sleepless nights as you get closer to launching your next big project.

@fbnlsr @Netlify Hmm. I get a pretty snappy result here in the UK. A quick look at load speeds (uncached) looks good in my browser, and the response times from around the world look pretty good.

Are you certain that your measurements do not include the time for the first hit on a deployment?

@fbnlsr @Netlify No.

The first (ever) request for any resource will take a little longer as it goes to the origin server and then primes the cache in the CDN... but I'd not expect response times like that. Able to share details of your measurements with Support?

@pranayroy01 @mhiggins2000 @jakethomp @Netlify @xieyihu Yep, you can do that. I host different sites (from different repos) on different subdomains of http://hawksworx.com.

Some hints in the docs:

@notwaldorf @jaffathecake @kosamari I should not have got involved in this thread. It looked like it would be fun but I'm quickly out of my depth. And the food photos are incompatible with my breakfast.

Should probably just go back to bed.

The consensus around Netlify HQ is that we really should be sending some Netlify and #jamstack stickers your way.
