The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

Looking forward to showing how you can use @Netlify Functions to write AWS Lambda functions to create:

✨ #Serverless applications
✨ Integrated dev workflows
✨ Staged & versioned APIs
✨ Rollbacks & A/B tests of Lambdas
✨ Synchronised UI and API code

@adrianmg @ivanguardado @Netlify @IFTTT Nice!

FWIW, you can also make good use of @IFTTT to trigger builds from activity elsewhere. Like when you tweet or post to instagram for example.

@Paul_Kinlan I rolled my own and now enjoy notifications and moderation right in my slack client, no longer need js to load the comments, and have the comments as part of my content, crawlable by search engines.

@skix123 @hibangun @parkeragee @marckohlbrugge @linode @excid3 @Netlify You're almost correct @hibangun, but with Netlify you can also make use of #serverless functions. Netlify Functions extend the same deployment and versioning to AWS Lamdba for you. (For Node or Golang).

Out of curiosity, if the whole site is served as a static site, what are you using a database to do? Anything at request time, or just grabbing content at build time?

He'll spout more destabilising fiction following this trip.

We're just not a fan of that one. 🍊

@addamove @Netlify @gatsbyjs It's to do with how Netlify spots that your site includes a form and then automatically creates the form handler APIs to receive POST requests to it for you.

This info might help: https://www.netlify.com/blog/2017/07/20/how-to-integrate-netlifys-form-handling-in-a-react-app/

You might get better results seeking support via https://www.netlify.com/support so that you can let the team know things like which site you are referring to, its dependencies, etc.
