The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

@jitendravyas @NetlifyCMS The CMS is not optimised for mobile use. However it is essentially a UI to ease management of content in git. I've often used it in conjunction with going directly to my site source in @GitHub and used their mobile UI to make changes (which @Netlify automatically deploy)

Looking forward to @hey_stac tonight in Leeds.

I'm going to talk about the fall and rise of "static sites", and how @Netlify can help build confidence in your builds.

@robinmetral @kaushalmodi @github @GoHugoIO @gatsbyjs @jekyllrb @Netlify @gitlab @Bitbucket You can use as little or as much as you like. Connecting a site to a git repo is just a few clicks and you'll get automated deployments and free auto-renewing SSL automatically.

Or if you want things really simple:

@cathy_dutton @Netlify Yep. Any build you have that uses #nunjucks should be Netlify-able. @eleven_ty makes nunjucks easy and you can find some examples of it ready to deploy at https://templates.netlify.com

Up, and to the right!

I took a look at the top 10 site generators, based on their @github stars.

Are you using one of these?
Are you using something different? https://twitter.com/Netlify/status/1034063492658200576

@ThorstenPanknin @Netlify Any site on @Netlify can be given a build hook which is just a webhook that you hit with an HTTP POST to trigger a build and deployment.

As a result, you can trigger builds from all sorts of events from across the web.
