The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

@petebray @NetlifySupport @Netlify That's most odd. Sorry for the slow response here on twitter, Pete... the better route to get support is via https://www.netlify.com/support

I recommend sending this question there so that it is sure to get into the support system.

@DKundel @Netlify You can't force stop a running deploy through the UI. I recommend letting the support team know. They'll help if this has not cleared itself.

Best route to that team 👉 https://www.netlify.com/support

"We’re not trying to make managing infrastructure easy. We want to make it totally unnecessary"

I love this sentiment expressed by @biilmann while talking about @Netlify's latest funding round! 👌 https://twitter.com/VentureBeat/status/1049645887331454976

(Any rumours that the conference was organised in such a way as to help me get to Warriors games are totally unfounded)

@sankalped @Netlify Great. Both excellent options.

If it helps, I blogged a little about the most popular static site generators a month or so ago (and @Neltify should support running most any SSG to generate and deploy your site for you)...

@sankalped @Netlify It doesn't.
There is no webserver to perform server-side rendering at request-time. Instead think of @Netlify as a CDN to serve your pre-rendered sites. Includes are typically performed by the templating of a SSG at build time.

See https://www.staticgen.com/ for leading SSGs

@lunelson @Netlify Changing anything at all in your package.json would have the same effect as having a flag in your commits which indicated that you should get all the dependencies again. Bumping the version number or updating a date. Anything. Your could continue to point your deps at branches.

@lunelson @Netlify If there is a change to your package.json, that will drop your dependencies cache and grab them all afresh. Perhaps that can help?

@jobsworth @Jermolene @jdlrobson @psd @Casablanca @gkc @Eastmad I remember vividly! LeWeb might have been my first time on a conference stage (nervously standing behind you!) @psd and I hacked on it through the night to prep it for an event in NYC.
