The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

@Akryum @Netlify @gitlab Hey Guillaume!
That's odd. Would you mind contacting the support team so that they can help to investigate with some knowledge of your account/site?

The best route for that is via https://netlify.com/support

@crgeary @muzzlehatch_ @smashingmag That's only baffling to me if it purely means "I would never use this under any circumstances" rather than "it was not a perfect fit for my use case", as I would prefer to suspect.

Or else, there must have been some misunderstanding about what #JAMstack actually means

@kmelve @wesbos @stolinski I like that too.

And I honestly don't care too much about what term is used, as long as we have a way to describe a CMS that lets you have complete control over the front end and hosting infrastructure. I often talk about things being "decoupled" rather than "headless".

And I see that as a huge opportunity for those already working in thew #JAMstack space.

Enjoying this by @kmelve and agreeing that "Structured content" services are incredibly valuable. For me though, there is still value in describing a CMS as "headless" if only to indicate that it will not impose its own code generation and bottleneck at request time. https://twitter.com/kmelve/status/1069279518228135937

Next week I'll be visiting York to talk about @Netlify and the #JAMstack at @frontendyork's end of year bonanza!

(Both the "York" and the "Bonanza" parts of this fill me with glee!)

Be quick to grab your place if you are keen to join us there.

Because when the organisation is so fully dedicated to tirelessly improving the lives of people living in really tough conditions that they aren't adept at whatever website builder they use... I'm going to cut them a break.

To say that I'm proud of my sister, and inspired by all the tireless work she does to help the homeless in Mountain View, would be a huge understatement.

So it's nice to see one of the organisations she volunteers at send her this virtual hug. β™₯️
