The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

@littlekope0903 @jlengstorf @trevorbrindlejs @PichuPlayer @josiahrooney @Netlify @gatsbyjs Just tried building this locally and it fails to install the dependencies with npm install. So it looks like an issue with one of those dependencies. (I have npm v5.6.0 and node v8.11.4 on my local machine).

A clean install and build is ok locally for you?

@chrka709 @Netlify 3hrs?! Yikes. They should timeout after 15 minutes.

Happy to hear all is well, but certainly worth letting the support team know if you experience that again.

@littlekope0903 @jlengstorf @trevorbrindlejs @PichuPlayer @josiahrooney @Netlify @gatsbyjs Peeking at the recent deploys... it doesn't looks like there has recently been a build without using the cache. When your package.json changes, that will clear the Netlify build cache and re-install dependencies, or you can force it by triggering a build manually, as shown here:

@chrka709 @Netlify That certainly sounds like something is wrong. I'm not aware of any system-wide issues at present. I'd suggest contacting the support team via https://netlify.com/support so that they can help to troubleshoot.

Rather impressed with Keynote on an iPad Pro.

Now, if I could just use the double-tap on the iPencil as a remote to advance slides I’d be a walking slide writing and presenting machine!

Accepting that... being resigned to "we can't have nice, sustainable, independent things" feels almost unbareably bleak to me. (As a fellow lover of the web).

@johneas10 @Netlify Me too, exactly!

It's an area that I have limited understanding, but I think that although we'd like to have that ability, the fact that we are a domain reseller, rather than a domain registrar brings some limitations to what we can do.

I want to move all my domains over so they can all be under one roof. Mine are happening gradually.
