The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

@TessaMero @dshaw Have you chatted with @VeryThorough or other SF-based @Netlify folks who have coordinated a bunch of #JAMstack meet-ups in SF? I bet you’d find friendly help there.

@rob_dodson @eleven_ty @DasSurma @erquhart You bet! I can’t promise how/when this might get attention, but I can certainly pass on the interest and potential to those who make the decisions and do the work!

We’ll let you know if there is activity and all are welcome to join the biweekly planning calls 😀

@rob_dodson @eleven_ty @DasSurma The issue has had lots of discussion in the past. And seems like has been in the gaze of @erquhart recently. Perhaps this might help as a vote for a renewed attention. I should check in at the next open planning.

@unicodeveloper @Netlify Sadly that's not currently possible from the UI.

We've seen this request a few times now though, and have an issue tracking it as a feature request for prioritisation.

@trysmudford @brucel @GoHugoIO @ckirknielsen No problem @brucel. I've done that for you too.
This time, I changed my identity to @trysmudford before doing the work.

Again, sorry that it took so long... it's all the identity hopping that I've been doing.

ok @brucel. I finished that tutorial on how to move from Wordpress to a #JAMstack site (with @GoHugoIO), you asked me for yesterday.

Sorry it took so long. I had to change my name and entire identity to @ckirknielsen first!

Thanks for the kind words!

@swyx @mjackson @chriscoyier Yes! Whether rendering in the client with JS because you're shipping an app which demands it, or if you can pre-generate all of your site in markup at build time like with a blog, or somewhere in between, the key to JAMstack is in avoiding the need for an active web server.

@brucel @rem Git & GitHub are such enablers for all things dev, so it's great to learn those.

But imagination and excitement call also be sparked by seeing your creation on a real URL on the web. I love @Netlify Drop for that. Especially for those just starting out.

There are so many valuable points in these slides by @VeryThorough.

Odd confession: I was a fan of the @netlify docs since long before I joined. I would read them from start to finish and want more!

The influence of their quality and process is tangible across the company. https://twitter.com/keavy/status/1130958722530889728
