The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

@vlh @HenriHelvetica Nice one!

I also recommend signing up to some open mic nights and just running into it with white knuckles! Can't wait to hear how you like it.

Roll your own lazy loading.

- A smattering of Picture elements
- A pinch of JS with Intersection Observer

@mrm @sarah_edo Interesting. I guess that's why so many other lazy loading approaches don't use a css blur effect.

Since that detail is all CSS, it could live in a media query to only apply the blur on larger screens as an enhancement, and assume that a larger screen means not mobile Android.

Waving a fond farewell to Toronto, which is utterly lovely.
And to the attendees, speakers and organisers of @smashingconf Toronto and @JAMstackTORONTO, who all made this visit so much fun.

Until next time! 👋

@datanotion @Netlify Hi Pat, It's probably worth asking this over in the @Netlify Community. It may even have already been answered and the folks talking overt there are most helpful. I see there is also a DNS topic already:

Looks like this is fully booked. But there is a waitlist.

Since it's a free community event, I'd recommend signing up to the waitlist. I'll bet that there is room for you!

Really looking forward to this tonight! https://twitter.com/jamstackconf/status/1144314031521579008

This talk was unbelievable!

So much created from a blank canvas.
And explained.
And deployed.
And open sourced.
And working.
All done live.

Mind-boggling! https://twitter.com/swyx/status/1143546467812032512
