The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

Really looking forward to hearing predictably good stuff from @jamiebradley234, and offering a talk myself:

"Are you being servered?" — Exploring a serverless web

Including things like:

- JAMstack
- Unified UIs and APIs with @Netlify
- Dynamic APIs without servers
- Lollipops https://twitter.com/middlesbroughfe/status/1156131435528577024

@vannsl I’m still nervous. Lately my nerves have become tinged with a bit of excitement, not pure terror!

Now I assume some will not care / disagree / know more than me. But am fine with that if others get something of value.

But I’m always nervous of running over or wetting my pants!

@StuRobson @alexolder @webdevconf @naconf I like both!

If a member of the A/V team can help the speaker get sorted while the MC takes the pressure off them by filling the void, that can work out well.

Generally "never leave a speaker stranded" seems like a good rule of thumb.

I just kept you company and was happy to do so. 😊

No speaker should have to watch their laptop reboot alone on stage! 🥺

👀📎 It looks like you're preparing to MC a conference...

A few people have flattered me by asking for advice about this. I only know what works for me... but I wrote some of it down.

Got other tips? Maybe you'd consider dropping them into the comments.
