The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

@eQRoeil @Netlify That does then mean that you need to create your own way to persist the data (if you need to), or send notifications of submissions. @faunadb is a nice option to integrate.

I did just that in a little example site recently. You can poke around the code:

Looking forward to speaking at @JavaScriptCon! In this talk, I'll walk through an example of building an example #JAMstack site which:

- Pre-renders all pages as good ol' HTML
- Has #serverless fallbacks for new content
- Automatically regenerates
- Has customisable lollipops 🥳 https://twitter.com/JavaScriptCon/status/1161170659873103872

@eQRoeil @Netlify No way to limit that I'm afraid. The built-in forms handling gives you lots of convenience for things like notifications, automatic API, spam filtering etc... but if you expect a very high volume of submissions, you might prefer to have your form post to a Netlify Function.

@jupiterorbit I 100% recommend them if you are cycling distances. By having cleats and the proper shoes to go with them, you’ll make far more efficient use of your body’s efforts.

They take a little getting used to but are well worth it.

@toddmorey @nejsconf It is so thoughtfully and warmly organised. And the atmosphere it generates is overwhelmingly positive.

Sad to learn this was the final edition. But the @nejsconf team have certainly earned themselves a break!
