The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

@CodeFoodPixels Exploring new things is wonderful and to be encouraged.

I guess I'm just saying that we shouldn't jump before looking. And we don't always need to jump at all.

Unless it's to @eleven_ty, of course. 😜

@davatron5000 Not if you use the new M1 chipset. You have to backport a sideloaded flamp package to get close to those extra 10 florps then.

Unless you whittle your own brew. Natch.

@DavidDarnes @davatron5000 That's getting deprecated in version 10.2.nope

And since whatchamacallit.js as hot-swappable inflection nodes, you'd never need to write a phalange hook again.

Day 0:
🀩 Discovered thingamibob.js. I'm using it to rebuild my site. It's wonderful!

Day 10:
πŸ₯³ Done. I love the results & working on my site.

Day 11:
πŸ₯Ί Twitter says the new whatchamacallit.js is good & thingamibob.js is boring. Burnt site down. Starting over.

☝️ Let's not.

Hooray! Another episode of Remotely Interesting!

In which @sarah_edo makes @jlengstorf and me cry. @cassidoo talks of the trust pair-programming can build, and @jlengstorf discloses a cheese-based injury.

Me to our cats:
There is wet concrete outside now, so you are forbidden from going outside for a few hours. The cat flap is locked until then.

Our cats to me:
Cool story, bro!

Let's do it.

@sxywu @Netlify @webflow If you do choose @netlify, you can control your domains, paths, project folders and so on. If you want to gather all the sites in one big repo, there is monorepo support for that too.

(and if you get stuck, you have some friends to help you along πŸ™Œ)
