I can't enjoy a game when it feels like my success depends on surrendering to endless in-app micropayments. I'm hungry for games that are free to try, and then have a price tag I can see and pay. That has value to me.

@DavidWells Excellent. I only request the search index file if a user opens the search input, but I’m still keen to keep that lean. Especially as sites get larger.
@DavidWells That’s new to me. Lovely. I might give that a try. Having a regular old req/resp to a search API which this in a serverless function returning a search results page feels like a nice fallback for the js-less.
@DavidWells I rolled my own simple but functional solution. Am planning to extend this with client-side lunrjs and also lunrjs in a serverless api as a fallback.
