The archive of what I posted on Twitter, which I now self host due to a lack of trust in Twitter and some other reasons.

I'll soon begin refelcting all my Mastodon posts here too. I'm happier self-hosting or maintaining an archive of my content on URLs that I can own.

There are tools to help you do this too. Such as this one from the makers of Eleventy.

@shaundai Yes!

Nothing kills my appetite more than spending hours cooking the meal I was excited to have.

@jlengstorf It took all the energy I could muster to not spend all of that evening in an infinite loop of hugging everyone in reach.

More burgers and hugs in 2022, please.

(Add to that the fact that Bing Bong was the nickname of beloved little pet cat, and I’m mostly in pieces from there until the end of this lovely movie)

@fran_the_dev Inside Out might be my favourite Pixar movie. It’s brilliantly written and incredibly clever. I get more from it each time I watch it. Heartily recommended.

You may need a hankie.

Settling in to watch Inside Out, so if you need me, I’ll most likely to be thinking about BingBong and blubbibg into a cushion.

@sunjayarmstead @Netlify I find that true “full stack” developers become increasingly rare. Being an expert at every part of the stack is almost impossible. Even within f/e dev there is lots of diversity and scope for specialisms. F/e devs can now leverage many domain experts via services to great effect

@sunjayarmstead @Netlify Hooray!

And yes, I’d say just that. Rather than being squeezed out of web development projects, the decoupling of f/e from b/e (which is core to Jamstack projects) frees back-end engineers to focus on creating and optimising the APIs and services which power various clients.
